Payment Methods

You can choose your preferred payment method from a wide range of secure and easy-to-use options at our online store checkout. Available options include the most common payment cards, Finnish online banking services, Klarna invoice and installment payments, as well as mobile payment methods MobilePay, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.

Depending on the chosen payment method, our online store’s payment service providers are Paytrail, Klarna, PayPal or Shopify Payments. The selected payment service provider will appear as the recipient of the payment on your bank statement or card invoice. The payment service provider forwards the payment to the seller. All data transfer and monetary transactions are protected with SSL encryption, and no third parties can access your information. 

In case of any issues related to the payment transaction, we kindly ask you to primarily contact the selected payment service provider.

Paytrail

In Finland, online bank payments are processed by Paytrail. The payment is confirmed using two-factor authentication. The service does not require registration. All data transfer and monetary transactions are protected with SSL encryption, and no third parties can access your information. Paytrail will appear as the payment recipient, and the amount will be charged from your account immediately after payment confirmation.

Klarna

You can choose Klarna invoice or installment payment at checkout after creating a user account with Klarna. Klarna will assess your creditworthiness before approving the invoice option.

PayPal

You can choose PayPal as your payment method at checkout after creating a user account with PayPal. If you return products from an order paid via PayPal, we will refund the amount directly to your PayPal account. You can find more information and PayPal’s terms of use at www.paypal.com.

 

Shopify Payments

You can pay using Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay, or Maestro credit cards, as well as Bancontact, iDeal, and Shop Pay payment methods.
Apple Pay or Google Pay will be displayed depending on the device you are using. Apple Pay is available on Apple devices, and Google Pay on Android-based devices. To use these payment methods, you must have an account with the respective service.

 

Gift Card

You can also pay for your online store order using Mainio’s electronic gift card. Enter the code provided with the gift card at checkout. If the value of the gift card does not cover the full order amount, you can pay the remaining balance using your chosen payment method. You may also use your gift card balance in parts, but please remember to check the expiration date. Gift cards cannot be used as a payment method to purchase a new gift card.

For orders paid with a gift card, we will refund the amount paid with the gift card back to the gift card. If you paid for your order partly with a gift card and partly with another payment method, such as Klarna, the gift card amount will always be refunded to the gift card first. Any remaining refund will then be processed to the other payment method if applicable.
