Mainio is GOTS certified
We are proud to be the only GOTS-certified kidswear company in Finland! Our garments have GOTS hangtags with license numbers you can use to track the factory that produced the garment. You´ll find the hangtag in all our products, except for the accessories made in Finland.
GOTS certified cotton is grown without chemicals (fertilizers, pesticides, and insecticides) and GMOs. All stages of production are free from toxic and harmful chemicals. To guarantee safe working conditions and living wages, all manufacturers and processors throughout the supply chain must meet the Social criteria based on the key norms of the International Labour Organisation (ILO).

Tencel™ Lyocell
The gorgeous and luxurious Tencel™ Lyocell makes the colors of the patterns glow. It is a sustainable and environmentally friendly material, both as a raw material and in the manufacturing process. Tencel™ Lyocell is a cellulose-based fiber made from FSC-certified wood pulp. Its manufacturing process takes place in a closed loop, which means that the chemicals and water used in the production are recycled and reused efficiently. When it reaches the end of its life cycle, it is also fully biodegradable.
